About me
Hello! I’m Melinda, an ICF-certified Life Coach, and Owner of Enso Empowerment Coaching. Through over 550 hrs. of one-on-one coaching and group classes, I’ve guided both individuals and corporate clients to achieve meaningful growth and attain lives of serenity and calm.
I would love to partner with you on your journey to achieve your goals, whatever they may be: from living a calmer, less stressful, life; to navigating a better relationship with someone; or finding a new direction at a junction in your life. My Background
My background is a huge asset when it comes to coaching my clients.
Growing up in a homogenous town in Michigan as a child of Chinese Immigrants from Hong Kong, I faced discrimination. As a result I felt lonely because no one truly understood me and my background. I couldn’t be my “true self”.
After graduating from the University of Michigan as an engineer, I faced challenges at work. It was a struggle to make my voice heard in the male-dominated environment. I had to prove myself twice as hard to be believed.
I struggled with beliefs that weren’t helpful, though I wasn’t aware of it. These beliefs were running in the background, like autopilot.: “It’s not perfect yet.” or “I can’t really say no!” or “What will they think of my decision?” or “I have to be doing something productive all the time.”
I wasn’t even aware that they were affecting my behavior to the vast extent that they were, until I started discovering them with the help of professionals. Because I overcame my challenges and live a life with more Calm, Authenticity, Freedom, and Happiness, I want to help others do the same.
That is how and why I became a Life Coach. Not just any coach, but one who has shared many of your life experiences.
